The Sam Houston Area Council, Boy Scouts of America Web site, www.shac.org, has won the 2007 National BSA President's Award for Best Council Web site. In addition, the site also won or placed in seven of the eight other categories.
This is the second time (the first time was 2004) that the Council's Web site has won this award.
This PubPoint driven site now receives 4,500 unique visitors daily, which is up from 50 visitors per day in 2002. They also have approximately 11,000 Web site registrants who receive the monthly eScouter email newsletter.
