HP PITTS Application

Business Need:
Purpose
To facilitate Compaqs directive to become the leading IT solutions provider and by implementing cost reduction programs, the functionality of the Proposal Enterprise Generator (PEG) is to be extended to allow the tracking of PITTS items. The new PITTS functionality will standardize procedures across all NA ETSS departments and sites, allowing a simple and consistent way for all employees to raise and track PITTS items as well as provide the vehicle for managers to report to their superiors PITTS related events in an efficient, cost effective manner.

Solution

 

Once the project team had developed the new procedures for submitting PITTS reports, the PubPoint implementation was designed to turn those processes into web-based processes that allowed the users to create PITTS items and submit PITTS reports online. The system is currently in User Acceptance Testing and is expected to reduce the time spent on creating a PITTS report from 6 hours to 30 minutes.
