Shell Energy needed to provide their customers access to their account information through a self service web portal. MyAccount is Shell Energy's name for their electronic bill presentment and payment service. With MyAccount and online access, customers can get and pay their Shell Energy bills online, either at the ShellEnergy.com web site or a consolidator's site. If customers sign up for online payment, they no longer receive a paper bill, instead they receive an electronic notification with a link that takes them to MyAccount. They can view and then pay their bill online through an electronic transfer of funds. Through MyAccount customers can also make some changes to their account information.
Shell Energy built and integrated their MyAccount functionality on their existing PubPoint managed site. The solution seamlessly integrates with their Seibel system to provide up to the second account information.
With this web site enhancement, Shell Energy customers have more self-service options than ever. As a result Shell’s costs for customer service are significantly lowered and service to the customer is better than ever.
