PubPoint 102 - Administration

Length

1 Day (6 hours)

 

Intended Audience

PubPoint Site Administrators. 

 

Objective

You will learn how to create PubPoint users, groups, assign permissions, set up workflows, and troubleshoot basic PubPoint problems.

Setting up users, groups as PubPoint users, External LDAP, and Active Directory accounts

Setting permissions

Configuring Workflow

Troubleshooting common problems

Determining your PubPoint version number and any specific configurations

Contacting PUBPOINT support and reporting a problem.

Basic principles of user and security management.

PubPoint 103- Creating Graphics for PUBPOINT sites

Length

1 Day ( 6 hours )

Content Administrators

 

Objective

As the Student, you will get an overview of and the basic tasks to create and edit graphics for  PubPoint web sites.

Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop is beneficial, but not required.

 

 

PubPoint 201- Administering the PUBPOINT Server

Length

2 Days (12 hours)

 

Intended Audience

Server Administrators

 

Objective

You will learn how to install, configure and support the components necessary to run PUBPOINT.  Administrators will learn the possible configurations of a the IIS and SQL server environment, such as clustering and load balancing, and when to use each one.  You will learn how to optimize and monitor your server to ensure a healthy and reliable hosting environment.  You will learn how to troubleshoot and fix common problems and how to contact PUBPOINT support.

PubPoint 302 - Advanced PubPoint Programming - Building custom modules and Transaction Programming

Length

2 Days (12 hours)

 

Intended Audience

Intermediate to Advanced Programmers

 

Objective

You will learn to build custom web applications using PubPoint's Transaction Programming abilities.  You will learn to build your own custom modules. You will learn to create custom objects, program object events, customize work flow events, and relate objects.  You will build custom front ends that manipulate PUBPOINT objects via the PUBPOINT API.
